Satori Labs To Demonstrate Breakthrough Digital Pen Technology At ASTRO Conference

Company Teams with IMPAC Medical Systems to Present Joint Oncology Solution for Electronic Cancer Staging Forms

Scotts Valley, CA - October 26, 2006--Satori Labs announced today that the company will be presenting their breakthrough digital pen-based forms automation software, FusionForm, at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) conference, November 5th - 9th, 2006 in Philadelphia, PA.

ASTRO is a professional society that seeks to advance the practice of radiation oncology by promoting excellence in patient care. Satori Labs will be demonstrating its FusionForm technology with market leader, IMPAC Medical Systems, as part of an overall oncology application focused on electronic cancer staging forms. The companies will be presenting the solution at the IMPAC trade show booth #2109.

FusionForm allows oncologists and radiologists to use a familiar pen-and-paper format to produce standard cancer staging forms that instantly convert to electronic medical records. These records are easily integrated into any existing electronic medical record system (EMR).

Satori Labs will be participating in the ASTRO Conference with partner, IMPAC Medical Systems. IMPAC is the leading provider of information technology solutions for oncology care, offering integrated practice management, electronic charting, clinical laboratory, anatomic pathology, cancer registry, and outcomes reporting solutions. Satori Labs will be demonstrating the FusionForm solution integrated with MOSAIQ, IMPAC's image-enabled oncology EMR.

"We are enthusiastic about working with healthcare market leader IMPAC Medical Systems to provide the oncology community with a powerful FusionForm-based forms automation solution for cancer staging forms," said Roy Feague, Satori Labs' CEO. "With FusionForm, oncologists and radiologists can continue to deliver the highest quality of healthcare, without changing their current workflow, while gaining the security and efficiency offered by electronic medical records."

The oncology market is projected to grow steadily due to numerous factors, including the aging population, greater access to screening and new methods of detection. Between 2000 and 2020, the World Health Organization is predicting a 50% rise in the global incidence of cancer (WinterGreen Research, February 2006). FusionForm offers a significant advantage to oncologists by providing physicians with an easy and efficient way to create digital patient healthcare records in a timely and secure manner, without changing the way they currently work.

Medical institutions worldwide are continually searching for new ways to reduce the costs and increase the efficiencies of data collection and processing. With Satori Labs' FusionForm technology, handwritten information on paper, including drawings, signatures and sketches, is captured, recognized, verified, and integrated-instantly-into electronic records systems of all kinds. By eliminating scanning and transcription, patients benefit greatly through reduced costs, reduced data collection errors, reduced liability due to incorrect information, and increased productivity and efficiency.
